Description
The Labor Day Memorial is a charity organization that was developed to raise funds for scholarships to high school seniors. The race was created to preserve the memory of the late Tom Medeiros, who passed away at 40 years old in the Station Nightclub Fire, and Sgt. Brian St. Germain, who was killed at the age of 22 years old while serving in Iraq. Over the past several years The Labor Day Memorial has donated yearly to four memorial scholarships for senior track and field athletes at West Warwick High School, for a total of $14,500 in awards.
